What happens when you cross Superman, with an unshaven, short-fused, alcoholic with anger management issues? The answer, this summer's anti-hero, Hancock. Will Smith returns to the big screen with a whiskey infused installment to the Superhero genre.

Despised by the Los Angeles public for his crash landings and mass destruction whenever he's called into action, flying catastrophe Hancock is given a lifeline by witty PR man Ray Embrey (played by Jason Bateman, Juno, Forgetting Sarah Marshall), when he comes to the rescue in typical destructive fashion.

With a warrant out for Hancock's arrest following a string of high profile
disasters, Ray suggests that he turns himself in and spends some time behind bars so that the people of Los Angeles can come to realise how much they need their calamity Superhero.

After some prison rehabilitation, a few tips on landing, some Superhero
etiquette sessions with his new friend Ray, and complete with a tight leather costume, (seemingly borrowed from Wolverine's wardrobe) Hancock is ready to put his drunk, whale throwing, kid tossing ways behind him and fight crime in a way that would put a smile on Clark Kent's face.

Full of laugh-out loud one-liners delivered in true Big Willie Style, the film does become more serious as the plot unravels and Hancock begins to discover his forgotten past.

Packed with great gags and some refreshing use of CGI, Hancock proves to be a meaty edition to the Superhero collection. But whatever you do, don't call Hancock an 'Asshole'!!!
