Saint Saviour

Championed Bermondseyite songstress Saint Saviour would seem to have ticked most of the boxes for a slippery slide into the indie pop mould. Those dancing days

Conversing with the girls was like reminiscing about all the good times we had together; on tour, shopping, that time we ate cow poo food (they meant cowboy but we misheard). Pull in Emergency at Beyond Retro

Beyond Retro on a clammy Saturday afternoon is quite the strange place for a gig, but setting up amongst the vintage frocks is 3/5 of Pull in Emergency. Despite averaging about only 15 years old they have been around for 2 years, had the Guardian Arts section drooling and appeared in I-D.

Lykke Li NEW SINGLE

Lykke Li's new video breaking away shows her coming into a more mainstream light though still with a little edginess. In comparison to previous video's which seem more humble in contrast to this one, 'Breaking it Up' shows Miss Li more dolled up and fierce enough to take on other rival pop queens.

Woolfy

As the Disco revival reaches a satisfied, belly-full plateau with more nights per capita than any other genre, you'd have to be a little longer in the tooth to remember where the alumni of the last Larry Levan-inspired glitterfest ended up.

Field Day and Underage Festival

Over two days in August, Hackney's Victoria Park plays host to two different day festivals. These being Underage Festival on the 8th and Field Day on the 9th. As Britain is smothered by a possible recession and tickets for the traditional three-day festivals rise despite weaker line-ups, day festivals should become ever more popular.
