MARKET EC1 LAUNCH AT FABRIC – 7 DECEMBER ‘08
It has been a while since clubbers in London could enjoy a world class night out on Sundays. This is all set to change, with the arrival of fabric’s newest addition to their family: MARKET EC1, a monthly event directed to a much more diverse gay/ lesbian/bi art and fashion crowd. Market EC1 launches on Sunday 7 December 2008 at fabric, for what is to be the start of a new Sunday evening phenomena in London. -
Markets have an innate ability to transport anyone into a world filled with vivid colours, sights, smells, sounds and objects. Translating the concept into a vibrant club night, Market EC1 will not only provide all you can absorb, visually and musically, but also allow you to partake in expressing your artistic self. It is a night filled with artists ranging from top DJ’s, singers, performers, bands, dancers, installation artists, visual artists , gymnasts, hosts and other street artists and young designers and all that is creative from London and abroad.
fabric is delighted to announce this brand new Sunday experience – this night is a world away from the usual offerings on the scene, with its focus firmly on a quality, forward-thinking musical and artistic policy.
Spread over three rooms, the Market launch lineup includes the world famous duo, CHUS and CEBALLO, a very special welcome PA by Peyton (Hed Kandi), superstar DJ Pagano, White Knight’s Nick Tcherniak, Hannah Holland (Trailortrash), Jim Warboy, K Tron performing Live, Kath Harding and Kate Nunn (WISH) and many more special surprises. Hosts on the night include Jonny Woo, with a few special shows, installations and visuals by Prickimage, art exhibition pieces by Marco Palomeque, and the first Market canvas to be created by you, the participant. Market promises to bring credibility back into the scene, turning fabric into a Market Place of art & performance - and offering you the finest music line-up on each event. With specially hand-picked performers, bands and PA’s to bring an imaginative live element to your night, alongside interesting artists and installations aplenty, the night will undoubtedly ignite all five senses, bringing along with it the most fashionable crowd around.
This is a beautifully unique chance for the east end gay scene to meet the west end gay scene and the circuit scene; for the girls to mix with the boys; for artists to freely express their talent; and, of course, for you to experience music, art, entertainment, shows, live acts and visuals, all in the space of one night, and inside a world-renowned venue.
Finally, the cure for Sunday blues is here, and it starts off very soon….
